flickr-256755929-originalDespite my forgetfulness, You remember me.

Despite my fickleness, You are faithful to me.

Despite my shortsightedness, You always watch over me.

You are with me when I am not with You,

Loving me when I neglect You,

Deserving when I give You nothing,

You are always and forever.

Make me to Know you, my God.

silhouettes-of-people-along-the-coast-watching-the-sunset_w725_h485Lord of all things, Mother of the universe, friend of every soul,

grant me the humility to realize the insignificance of my little self.

May I search every being I encounter and find you dwelling within them.

May I worship you in my every thought, word and deed.

Give me the fortitude to control my scattered mind,

that I may attain the wisdom I need to be of service to all beings.

Give me pure love and devotion for you.

Be near me always.

Peace, peace, peace be unto all.

2012-09-12 (12)Holy One,

when I am angry, make me sing;

when I am melancholy, make me laugh;

when I am doubtful, make me pray;

when I am lazy, make me strive;

when I am gluttonous, make me fast;

when I am impatient, make me wait;

when I am callous, make me assuage.

Whenever my will is not Thy Will, make They Will to be mine.

Peace, peace, peace be unto all.

2013-01-08-(2)-1-3In the shrine of my heart, there are bats and birds roosting in every corner.

There is trash drifting across the floor and dust on everything.

The murti stands in silence under a black sheet.

But how it glimmers through the cloth, like a diamond in the sun, and from the inner sanctum can be heard the small and distant sound of a conch blowing.

Something amazing is about to happen.

Shine, my beautiful Lord.

Peace, peace, peace be unto all.
